Ottimo inizio di campionato per la CCEN Scuola di basket Lecce che esce vittoriosa dalle mura nemiche della Cestistica Barletta. 

Il match non inizia nel migliore dei modi per i nostri leccesi che quasi da subito si trovano a rincorrere gli avversari sopra di 10 lunghezze.

Laudisa e Mocavero accendono qualche speranza dell'arco mentre Kelmelis e Balkunas alzano il ritmo di gioco minuto dopo minuto, segnando canestri non facili e guadagnando falli sotto l'anello. Il secondo quarto si conclude 42-41 a favore dei nostri bianco blu che entrano in spogliatoio con la consapevolezza di poter fare molto meglio. Fin da subito all'inizio del terzo quarto si nota un fuoco diverso nei nostri ragazzi che determinati iniziano a concretizzare un distacco più marcato, nonostante la sfortuna ai tiri liberi Zezza riesce a realizzare diversi 1c1 segnando anche con fallo. Nota di merito a Castelluccio che ha guadagnato la fiducia di coach Leopizzi fin da subito, con un ottima difesa, e grinta a rimbalzo da entrambi i lati del campo. Barletta però non molla, rispondendo consecutivamente ai nostri canestri e tenendosi sempre a pochi passi dalla CCEN Scuola di Basket Lecce, ma noi vogliamo portarcela a casa e ci trasciniamo continuando a rispondere dall'arco con più fortuna negli ultimi 20 minuti di gioco, Laudisa segna e tiene accese le speranze, anche Feruglio ci mette lo zampino e Kelmelis che fin dall'inizio sembrava non essere fortunato dalla lunga infila una tripla in uno dei momenti più caldi della partita. Gli avversari ormai stanchi da una prima di campionato a tutta birra mollano la presa a 1 minuto dalla fine tentando tiri difficili e affaticati. Si chiude 79-88 con i nostri ragazzi contenti e consapevoli della difficoltà di gioco dinanzi a una tifoseria numerosissima e rumorosa. 

Adesso testa a domenica prossima per la seconda sgambata tra le mura del palazzetto di piazza palio contro S.Rita Taranto.

Excellent start to the championship for the CCEN Lecce basketball school that comes out victorious from the enemy walls of the Barletta basketball team.

Laudisa and Mocavero light some hope of the arc while Kelmelis and Balkunas increase the pace of play minute by minute, scoring difficult baskets and earning fouls under the ring. The second quarter ends 42-41 in favor of our blue whites who enter the locker room with the knowledge that they can do much better. Right from the start of the third quarter we see a different focus in our boys who determined to realize a more marked gap, despite the bad luck on free throws Zezza manages to make several 1c1 scoring even with a foul. Note of merit to Castelluccio who gained the trust of coach Leopizzi right from the start, with an excellent defense, and rebounding grit on both sides of the field. Barletta, however, does not give up, responding consecutively to our baskets and always keeping a few steps from the CCEN School of Basketball Lecce, but we want to take her home and drag ourselves continuing to respond from the bow with more luck in the last 20 minutes of play, Laudisa scores and keeps hopes alight, Feruglio also puts a hand in it and Kelmelis who from the beginning seemed not to be lucky since he slipped a triple in one of the hottest moments of the game.
